born in salzburg, austria in 1972 since 2001 living in stockholm, sweden founded together with graphik designer sandra praun designstudio s since 2002 exhibitions under the name "öppet på designstudio s" started a noise performance band under the name "fehlgeburt" together with alex kellas och dani sack (fam. seelig, pippi&peppo) in graz in the beginning of the 90´s. 96 studying film at the art university in linz, austria. in need of music for the own experimental film productions i bought a lot of electronic equipment without knowing how to play them but i liked the sound that came out so i called the soundproject "prank", and i was using this name since then. now the time is right to get out the sound under a new name: motzart k actually it´s motzart kroetzmeyr - but that´s a hard one. motzart is some kind of zynical prank and it means the art of nagging motzart kroetzmeyr is an encoded character born under the circumstances of living the life of a non-studying student, sharing a flat with an imaginative progressive brother, working endless nights at fucked-up bars, the experience of mind-exploring substances and the occurrence of meeting numerous brain-dead people. and if you ever asked yourself what it would sound like to mix such explosive ingredients without any knowledge about music in the first place - experience this! in time that is left over i work on visual art under the name nino s (working together with johan afterglow, hell on wheels, i shot the pony, etc.) making art and videos under my other name nino strohecker. check out our webside http://www.designstudio-s.com∞
About the Studio
Designstudio S is a Stockholm-based studio that combines visual communications and art projects. It was started in 2001 by Sandra Praun and Nino Strohecker.
Designstudio S works and consults mainly in the fields of corporate identity, editorial design, the music industry and the culture sector - with graphic design, film and photography as our specialities.
In September 2003 a new project called ÖPPET (Swedish for ’open’) was started together with Tessa Praun. The studio is used as an exhibition space, mainly for own projects and cooperations.
